Biography
Long-Form Bio
Victoria Nicole Charles is the founder and CEO of PLUG THE GAP Consulting Services, LLC, an independent corporate relations and structural advisory firm she launched in 2004. Over more than 35 years in public relations, media, and journalism, she has built a career bridging corporate management and organized labor while stabilizing workforce retention for unions and enterprises alike.
Charles is also a bestselling author, television host, and filmmaker. Her debut novel, The Preacher's Dilemma, Part 1, has sold over one million copies and is the basis for her upcoming feature film slate, including her directorial debut Misty Blues and the Red Letter, developed at the University of Minnesota, with actor Terrence Howard attached to star, subject to his acceptance.
She spent seven and a half years as a federal contractor with the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC, now the DFC), brokering international public-private partnerships. She is a member of the National Association of Minority Contractors, Upper Midwest, and continues to advocate for artists' intellectual property rights alongside entertainment industry unions.
Charles currently has twelve completed screenplays in active development, with Misty Blues and the Red Letter in production and The Devil's Dance — the sequel to The Preacher's Dilemma — planned as her first major feature after it.
